Adam Levine returns to The Voice for season 27 on Feb. 3, but you can watch him in action now with his fellow coaches John Legend, Michael Bublé and Kelsea Ballerini.

In a new video, the four come together to perform Elton John‘s classic “Tiny Dancer” on The Voice stage. The new season marks country star Kelsea’s first as a coach. Michael, the reigning champion, made his debut last season and won, while John is about to start his 10th season. Adam, one of the original four coaches, left the show after season 16.

Adam spent his time away from the show recording and touring with Maroon 5, but also spending time with his wife and their kids: daughters Dusty Rose, 8, and Gio Grace, 6, and his 2-year-old son.

Speaking to People about his return to the show, Adam says being a dad hasn’t made him “softer” as a coach, because, as he puts it, “I’ve always tried to be as nice as possible in the context of being critical, and I think that’s just the most productive way to be.” But he says he has softened as a person, noting, “I mean, I have three kids, I cry every day. I’ve softened a lot as a person in a lot of other ways.”

For example, his definition of success has changed.

“I think my only accomplishment that matters really at this point … if I can raise happy kids that love their lives, then I am a success,” he adds. “Then, I will officially be the luckiest person in the world. Of all the luckiest s*** that’s ever happened to me, that would be the greatest accomplishment of my life, honestly. See how soft I’ve become?”
